It means that the action is all around me in 360, so that its more than just watching tv. My 16 year old son calls it “more real than real,” and I can’t help but agree. What with the massive, highe resolution 42 plasma tv picture, and the beautiful stereophonic sound, I don’t even really need to leave the house to have fun any more. I can sit around all day watching my 42 plasma tv, and never get bored. It must be a guy thing.

You Do Not Send Soldiers To Die For Their Country
It does not matter what country you are from.
If your country has a military, the answer is the same. Often, you here about giving your life for your country when soldiers are sent to war. On patriotic holidays, no matter what country you are from, we here about those who gave their lives for their country, freedom, communism, or whatever.
This is all wrong.
It is wrong to expect someone who has volunteered to be in the service of your country, to now expect to die. It is even more wrong to tell someone who had no choice about joining the military (drafted) that they are there to die for their country.
Yes, I know there the potential that they will die. They are being sent into harm's way.
You do not send soldiers into the field to die.

You send soldiers to make the enemy die for thier country or cause.
Not for your soldiers to die for yours. Not just to be in the way in case trouble breaks out between other factions. Not as a police force. They are there to kill the enemy, not be killed.

South Milwaukee, WI Is Turning Into A Ghosttown
I drove down the main street of South Milwaukee, WI last night.
In one block there were nearly 8 vacant storefronts. it looks like a ghetto.
I think this is due to dumb officials who think they know what is best for everyone.
City hall seems more concerned about which direction the signs are facing (can't have them so people can read them without causing a traffic accident) than if there is anyone there in the first place.
I interned at one business where I saw city officials come in to inspect the building about 10 times.
I only interned one day a week for 3 hours for a 6 month period. They actually demolished part of that building while that business was still there. The business moved and withing a couple weeks the building was torn down. It is now a vacant lot with a cheap plywood sign saying something like "Vacant lot brought to you by the South Milwaukee Planning Authority." It has been that way for a year now.
Poor planning if you ask me.
What idiots.

I Philips Sent Me A New Norelco Razor
My Norelco cool Skin Razor stopped working a few days ago.
The Cool Skin Razor has been the best razor I have ever shaved with, so I was planning to buy another. I then noticed the warranty was for two years, not one year like I thought.
I called Philips, and they told me to send it to them. The cool think is, they paid for the shipping. Can't beat that, or so I thought. They even called a couple weeks later to see if my call had been satisfactory.
Tuesday I recieved a new Norelco Cool Skin 7775X razor from Philips. It is even a newer model. I am very impressed with Philips / Norelco and would encourage anyone looking for a razor to look at the Cool Skin models.
I have had two day of very comfortable shaves now with it. It had been awful using a blade.

Tuesday I recieved a new Norelco Cool Skin 7775X razor from Philips. It is even a newer model. I am very impressed with Philips / Norelco and would encourage anyone looking for a razor to look at the Cool Skin models.
I have had two day of very comfortable shaves now with it. It had been awful using a blade.

Children and type 2 diabetes
It can be hard as a parent or grandparent to say no to children asking for sweets.
You often feel like you are punishing them if you do not allow the sweets. Still, you will be far from punishing them if you can help prevent diabetes. After seeing what those who have diabetes may go though, I always thought it would be true torture to be a child with diabetes.

My nephew called from Singapore last weekend
Actually, his mom called to talk to my wife, but i got a chance to talk with him.
It was a short conversation since he does not speak English and I do not speak Chinese.
He said "Hello." That was about all of the conversation. I enjoyed it though. It is a real treat.

It's been a long week
It has been a long week. I am looking forward to resting the rest of the weekend.
Why does it seem that I never have enought time to do everything. It seems like even when I have enough time to do something, for some reason the project will take longer than it should. Usually a lot longer. I plan to do some relaxing the rest of the night.

I hate hospitals
I just spent 4 hours in the emegency room of a hospital. Actually, I spent 21/2 hours in the waiting room and 11/2 waiting in the emergency room.
I can't help but think how much faster things would go if they did not have to do all the extra tests. Doctors seem to spend more time just trying to keep from getting sued. So many of the tests are rudundant but are needed just to say "we checked as much as possible, yes, you have ******." Which is what the nurse thought when you came in.
I am not anti doctor. I just think that we should let them be doctors and not lawyers.

Nehews and Nieces
Nephews and nieces are so much fun!
Yesterday one my neice was at my work for a few minutes. She is only a year and a half old. It is so cute how she is learning to talk. She is also still a little bit uncoordinated in walking and it is fun to watch her as she has to be careful when she walks.
I have a nephew that was her age last time I saw him. He was just as cute. It has been a year since I have seen him because they live in another country. I hate to think how much I have missed.
I am not a parent. I wonder if parents truly appreciate their own children and how much fun they are to us uncles and aunts. Maybe that's the advantage of being an uncle.

I hate mornings
Actually, I just hate trying to wake up in the morning.
I personally believe the best way to see the sun rise is stay up and wait for it. Followed by a 12 hour nap.
I tend to like working at night.
It seems that I am just getting started on my personal projects around midnight. This is why I have such a hard time with mornings.
